Solar Bay is a Renewable Energy Fund with a focus on contracted Distributed Energy Resources. Technologies we fund include Solar PV, Battery Storage, waste to energy, Private Networks and Hybrid Power Plants. Typical investment size range between $500,000 - $30 million, with smaller per site capital deployment possible for multi-site rollouts.

Solar Bay was founded in 2016 with the goal of providing renewable energy solutions to commercial and industrial users. Solar Bay now owns and operates a diverse portfolio of Solar PV, Battery Storage and Off Grid Renewable IPP. Luke Murnane manages the asset management division of Solar Bay. This includes the installation, operations, and upgrading of micro-grids, battery storage and demand management.

James Doyle is a co-founder and Investment Director of Solar Bay. He manages the fund management, wholesale market integration, and asset acquisition components of Solar Bay. Andrew Archibald is the co-founder and Investment Director of Solar Bay.

A contract to purchase electricity generated from an onsite energy system, typically Solar PV, but may also include Battery storage, Combined Heat and Power or Power Factor Correction (PFC). The system is designed, installed, funded, operated, and maintained by Solar Bay, providing renewable power and energy savings to the site.

McCain Foods Ballarat is a Potato Processing facility with a large 24 Hour electrical and thermal load. This Solar PV installation is the first stage of a plan to supply 39% of the site load and supply with Cogeneration CHP Plant, supplied with Biogas from an onsite anaerobic digester.
