The Test Man offers you a range of services to maintain and service electrical equipment within the workplace and the home. We provide an array of services, including: Testing and Tagging, RCD's, installing and the maintenance of smoke alarms and emergency lights. All of which comply with the Australian and New Zealand electrical safety regulations.
I'm Jason and I am the owner of The Test Man. We are located in North Brisbane, servicing Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. A little bit about me. I did my time and completed my electrical apprenticeship on the Sunshine Coast back in 2012. In the time since I have spent my time over in Karratha on an iron ore mine site and back closer to home in North Lakes.
On the mine site, I came to the realisation of how important it was to check tools constantly. We carried out much Test and Tag at the Port, and with many people using the tools the amount of damage that occurred in a short amount of time was unbelievable. These things are not done deliberately but can be potentially deadly if not resolved before other people use the tool without knowing anything is wrong with it.

The Electrical Safety or WHS regulations in your state or territory specify measures you are to take to ensure electrical safety in your workplace. One of these measures is the electrical testing and tagging of portable electrical equipment and the regulations refer to the Australian Standard for guidance on how to implement these safety measures.
RCD Residual Current Device

As far as safety goes, electricity is one danger that you don't want to leave up to chance. A safety switch (Also known as an RCD-Residual Current Device) is designed to activate and trip(turn off) the circuit if current leakage is detected, all in a fraction of a second. The purpose of a safety switch is to protect you, your loved ones and anybody visiting/working at your property or workplace from an electric shock which can potentially kill.
