Rug Cleaning
Our 7-step rug cleaning process combines traditional expertise with modern technology to restore rugs to their original condition. The method includes inspection, dirt removal, pre-treatment, shampooing, rinsing, and controlled drying. This comprehensive approach effectively removes embedded dirt, allergens, and stains while preserving the rug's integrity. Our technicians adapt the process to suit different materials including wool, silk, and synthetic fibres.
Urine Treatment
Specialised urine treatment addresses both visible stains and lingering odours through a multi-stage chemical process. Our technicians use enzymatic cleaners that break down urea, urochrome, and uric acid crystals to prevent recurring smells. The treatment includes deep soaking, neutralisation, and thorough rinsing to ensure complete elimination of organic residues. This prevents future odour recurrence even in humid conditions.
Moth Prevention
Professional moth treatment combines immediate pest elimination with long-term prevention strategies. The process involves applying insect growth regulators that disrupt moth life cycles while remaining safe for households. Our technicians treat both visible infestations and potential breeding areas, creating protective barriers that last for months. Follow-up recommendations help maintain moth-free environments.
Rug Underlay
High-quality rug underlays enhance safety and prolong rug lifespan by preventing slippage on hard surfaces. Our Durahold pads combine rubber and felt for optimal grip and cushioning. The underlays also protect flooring from rug dyes while improving comfort underfoot. We offer various thickness options to suit different rug types and usage scenarios.
Pickup Delivery
Convenient pickup and delivery service covers Melbourne metro areas and the Mornington Peninsula. Our vehicles maintain secure, climate-controlled environments for transported rugs. The service includes professional handling, temporary storage if needed, and scheduled delivery appointments. Customers receive advance notifications regarding collection and return times.

Melbourne Rug Wash have provided the worst, most disappointing level of service I have ever been subjected to, so much so that I find myself inspired to write my first, and only negative Google review. My fool housemate spilled a large quantity of candle wax on my wool and silk rug. Bernard, phone person at MRW, organised for the carpet to be collected. When it was returned, the silk of the carpet was still crushed. I sent the carpet back again and spoke with Bernard on the telephone. He employed a spectacular combination of rudeness and condescension as he explained that whoever had attended
