Dean has been in the tree industry for over 20 years. After being heavily involved in the family owned and run business Dean moved on to providing contract tree climbing services to numerous companies around Melbourne and Victoria as well as tree consultancy and arborist reports.
After successfully completing his certificate IV in Horticulture (Arboriculture) at Melbourne University's Burnley campus Dean moved overseas to begin a four-year stint working as a climbing arborist for a number of companies and countries in Europe.Working with some of the leading climbing arborists in the world Dean continued to learn and improve his skills and knowledge.
His roles abroad included running the prestigious Royal Parks contract in London, working in such places as, St James's Park, Parliament Square, Trafalgar Square, and Pall Mall, even carrying out tree removal tasks in the Princess Diana memorial fountain in London's famous Hyde Park.

Tree Pruning

Tree FX carries out all tree pruning according to the Australian Standard: AS4373-2007 (Pruning of Amenity Trees). All trees are different, and each tree requires a visual tree assessment by a qualified arborist to determine the most appropriate methods of pruning to achieve the desired result. Removal of poorly attached branches or stems which may be a high risk of failing in high winds or storms.

When planning a tree removal, our first priority is the safety of our staff our clients and the general public. Before any work commences a detailed Job Safety Analysis (JSA) will be carried out by all staff present, to ensure a safe, smooth and effective tree removal job is attained.
Stump Removal

When carrying out stump removal it is important to have a thorough understanding of underground services and be able to identify and accurately locate potential problems associated with these. Standard practice is stump are ground to minimum 300mm below ground level (where services allow), ready for replanting.
