I'm Stephen Ziguras, and I started Eco wood design while my partner and I were living in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2010. My designs are influenced by the Arts and Craft Movement, as well as Danish and Japanese designs.
I aim to make stunning one-off pieces of handmade furniture that will last a life-time. All of my furniture is custom made, and eco-friendly sustainably sourced new and recycled local timber. I established Eco wood design in Copenhagen, specialising in custom-designed and built furniture. I have been making furniture for nearly 20 years. I love to make unusual, interesting or quirky pieces but I like making pretty much anything. Some pieces might be quite straightforward and uncomplicated, while others might take weeks of thinking, experimenting and designing to resolve a difficult design or construction problem.
